Head Rest monitors provide two individual screens for the rear passengers. This style of monitor is suitable for all types of vehicles with head rests. The screens are moulded into the vehicles headrest with all wiring hidden. The benefit of this option, is although it is invasive to the vehicle, the headrest can be replaced when the vehicle is sold if you wish to retain the monitors. The finished look is very professional. Replacement Head Rest Monitors are also available if you wish to leave the factory head rests in tact.
An Overhead Mounted monitor is a "flip down" unit. This unit also contains interior cabin lights for the vehicle as these are removed before installation. This style of monitor is not suitable for all vehicles. It best suits 4WDs or high roofed vehicles. The benefit of this style is the fold away feature so it is not always on display.
In Dash monitors are more suitable for two seated vehicles, or vehicles that do not generally carry passengers. The monitor is fixed to the DVD head unit which is mounted in the dash of the vehicle. The monitor folds into the unit when not in use. It is important to note that by law, the system will not operate unless the handbrake is in use.
The ultimate in keeping your teenagers occupied on a long trip. Two options are available for integrating the Sony Playstation® or Wii® into your vehicle.
1. A data port is installed from the DVD player to the rear of the vehicle, so the Gaming Device can be attached when required. This option is suitable for when the unit is used in the home also, making the Device portable, but leaving a DVD system still in the vehicle. Please note that extra leads and a DVD head unit are required for this option.
2. A more economical option is to mount the Gaming Device permanantly in the vehicle using it as the DVD player. Please note that the Sony Playstation® or Wii® should not be removed from the vehicle and used in the home when using this option as the unit is fixed to the vehicle.
Children as young as 3 are able to operate and attach the headphones.
The headphones are powered by 2 x AAA batteries and communicate with the DVD system via an infa-red connection. The headphones are fully adjustable with the on/off and volume control located on the side. It is recommended that the volume control is checked by an adult before attaching to a young child.
